Friendship (2025)

Toxic Friendship presents the life of a suburban father (Tim Robinson), who tries to balance the pressures of an unstable job and a marriage that no longer seems so solid. Exhausted by routine and the weight of responsibilities, he finds an unexpected escape when a new neighbor, Brian (Paul Rudd), moves in next door. Charismatic, good-humored, and seemingly perfect, Brian quickly arouses his admiration—and becomes the figure he would like to be.

As the friendship develops, the fascination with the new neighbor begins to take on darker contours. His attempt to reinvent himself through this relationship ends up revealing deep fragilities, exposing insecurities, envy, and a dangerous desire to escape his own reality. What at first seemed like just an innocent connection turns into an obsession, leading to increasingly uncomfortable and unpredictable situations.
