Synopsis
The Elixir (2025) plunges into visceral, atmospheric horror, set in a remote village where a mysterious elixir awakens the undead. As the plague spreads, chaos takes over the village, transforming neighbors, friends, and loved ones into creatures hungry for human flesh. At the center of this nightmare, a family marked by secrets and disagreements must put their differences aside to survive the most hellish night of their lives.
Directed by Kimo Stamboel, known for his mastery of Indonesian horror, the film combines psychological tension and graphic carnage in a narrative that blends ancestral superstition and family tragedy. The screenplay, written by Khalid Kashogi and Agasyah Karim, constructs a dark story about guilt, faith, and redemption, where every choice can mean life or death.
With a suffocating atmosphere and disturbing visuals, The Elixir redefines the zombie genre by intertwining supernatural horror with human drama — showing that sometimes the biggest monsters are born within the home.
