Rust (2025)

Rust: The Law of the West (2025) transports audiences to the harsh reality of the Old West in the 1880s, where survival depends on courage and strength of spirit. After the death of his parents, a young boy must take care of himself and his younger brother, facing a life marked by loss, danger, and impossible choices.

Amidst grief and loneliness, the boys' fate changes when they go on the run with their grandfather, a man marked by his past and sentenced to hang after the accidental death of another. The journey turns into a desperate quest for freedom and redemption, where each step can mean salvation or downfall.

Directed and written by Joel Souza and co-created by Alec Baldwin, Rust: The Law of the West revisits the classic elements of the western from an intimate perspective. Amid arid landscapes, moral dilemmas, and fragile family relationships, the film explores the weight of guilt and the struggle for survival in an era when law and violence were intertwined.
