Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010)

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010) is a hilarious horror comedy that subverts the classic clichés of the slasher genre, bringing a plot full of misunderstandings and absurdly comical situations.

Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine) are two friendly, well-meaning rednecks who decide to spend a quiet weekend renovating their newly purchased cabin in a remote forest. Chaos ensues when Allison (Katrina Bowden), one of the young women, has an accident and is rescued by Dale, who is only trying to help her. However, her friends interpret the gesture as a kidnapping and embark on a series of clumsy attempts to “save” her, which ends up resulting in accidental and violent deaths caused by the young people themselves.

As Tucker and Dale try to understand why the students are acting so aggressively and insanely, the situations become increasingly absurd and bloody. Between scares, jokes, and twists, the film offers an entertaining critique of horror stereotypes, while developing an unexpected friendship between Dale and Allison.
