Sons of Ecstasy (2025) transports viewers to the vibrant and chaotic underworld of 1990s raves in Arizona, where electronic music, neon lights, and psychedelic drugs fuel a youth in search of escape—and power.

Amid this effervescent scene, a dangerous rivalry takes shape: a charismatic financier, who sees the ecstasy trade as an opportunity for rapid ascension, collides with the impulsive heir to a powerful New York mobster. What begins as a market dispute soon turns into a turf war marked by betrayals, dubious loyalties, and a spiral of escalating violence.

Directed by Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs, the film combines the frenetic pace of illegal parties with a raw look at the ambition and moral collapse that dominated the counterculture of the 1990s.
