The Cut (2025)

The Cut (2025) follows a retired boxer, played by Orlando Bloom, who sees one last chance for redemption: to fight for the world title again. However, there is one condition—he must reach his ideal weight in time for the fight. Confined to a stuffy room in Las Vegas, he begins a rigorous weight loss program led by an unscrupulous trainer who is willing to do anything to mold the athlete's body and mind, even if it destroys him in the process.

As the days pass, the heat, exhaustion, and physical and psychological pressure transform the room into a veritable torture chamber, where every drop of sweat carries as much pain as hope. The protagonist struggles not only against his own body, but also against the ghosts of a past filled with regrets, failures, and forgotten glories.

Directed by Sean Ellis, The Weight of Victory (2025) is a visceral portrait of sacrifice, ambition, and the line between determination and self-destruction.
